Calonge is just a couple of kilometres from the beautiful beaches of St. Antoni and is situated at the edge of the stunning Gavarres National Park, which continues all the way to Girona. The pretty market town of Calonge, like many other towns in the Costa Brava, effortlessly combines a rich historical pedigree, best epitomized by its medieval castle, the church of Sant Martí, with more modern day facilities and amenities such as a wealth of buzzing little bars, banks, shops and restaurants. Sant Antoni de Calonge offers one of the best selections of picturesque coves on the Costa Brava. Most notably along the Cami de Ronda, where secluded rocky bays run as far as the town of Platja d'Aro, as well as a fine selection of sandy beaches in front of the main town. All set against the sort of stunning mountain backdrop that has become synonymous with the Costa Brava. This pretty little coastal resort is located between the busier towns of Palamos and Platja d'Aro, and features some terrific fish restaurants.
